केंद्रीय वित्त मंत्रालय के तहत आर्थिक मामलों के विभाग द्वारा जारी नोटिफिकेशन के अनुसार, सिक्के का वजन 34.65 ग्राम से 35.35 ग्राम के बीच होगा। नोटिफिकेशन में कहा गया कि सिक्के के एक तरफ बीच में अशोक स्तंभ की छवि होगी, जिसके एक ओर देवनागरी लिपि में ‘भारत’ जबकि दूसरी ओर अंग्रेजी में ‘इंडिया’ लिखा होगा।
