एक अंग्रेजी अखबार की रिपोर्ट को मानें तो, बिग बी ने अयोध्या के 7-स्टार प्रोजेक्ट ‘द सरयू’ में एक प्लॉट खरीदा है, जो कि सरयू नदी के पास स्थित है. इसके कंस्ट्रक्शन का काम मुंबई बेस्ड डेवलपर द हाउस ऑफ अभिनंदन लोढ़ा को दिया गया है. प्रोजेक्ट की ये लोकेशन, श्री राम जन्मभूमि मंदिर से 15 मिनट की दूरी पर है. अमिताभ ने 10 हजार स्क्वायर फीट की जमीन खरीदी है. इसकी कीमत 14.5 करोड़ रुपये है.

अमिताभ बच्चन इससे पहले लखनऊ के पास काकोरी में भी जमीन खरीद चुके हैं। अमिताभ ने अयोध्या में जिस जगह पर जमीन खरीदी है वह राम मंदिर से 15 मिनट की दूरी पर बताई जा रही है साथ ही अयोध्या एयरपोर्ट से इसकी दूरी 30 मिनट है। हालांकि, इसे लेकर अभिनंदन लोढ़ा ग्रुप की ओर से कोई अधिकृत बयान नहीं दिया गया है।
