31 साल बाद इंस्पेक्टर समेत 6 पुलिसकर्मियों को पांच-पांच साल का कठोर कारावास
उत्तर प्रदेश के जनपद मिर्जापुर में युवक को फर्जी तरीके से फंसाने के मामले में विंध्याचल थाने के तत्कालीन प्रभारी निरीक्षक समेत छह पुलिसकर्मिर्यों को कोर्ट ने सजा सुनाई।
The court sentenced six policemen, including the then Inspector-in-Charge of Vindhyachal police station, in the case of falsely implicating a youth in Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh.
अपर सत्र न्यायाधीश प्रथम वायुनंदन मिश्र की कोर्ट ने सभी को पांच-पांच वर्ष का कठोर कारावास व 59-59 हजार रुपये के अर्थदण्ड से दंडित किया। दोषी पुलिसकर्मी गाजीपुर, गोरखपुर, प्रतापगढ़ एवं लखनऊ के मूल निवासी हैं। फैसला 31 वर्ष बाद आया है।
The court of Additional Sessions Judge First Vayunandan Mishra punished all of them with rigorous imprisonment of five years each and a fine of Rs.59,000 each. The convicted policemen are natives of Ghazipur, Gorakhpur, Pratapgarh and Lucknow. The verdict has come after 31 years.
विंध्याचल के बिरोही गांव निवासी भोलानाथ तिवारी के घर 24 अगस्त 1992 को तत्कालीन प्रभारी निरीक्षक अमरेंद्र कांत सिंह, उपनिरीक्षक सुरेंद्रनाथ राय, आरक्षी रामसिंहासन सिंह, आरक्षी दीनानाथ सिंह, आरक्षी रामअचल ओझा एवं दिनेश बहादुर सिंह ने छापा मारा था। इस दौरान सवा किलो गांजा बरामद किया। भोलानाथ के न मिलने पर पुलिस ने परिवार से अभद्र व्यवहार किया था। इस पर महिला ने आग लगाकर आत्महत्या कर ली थी।
On August 24, 1992, the house of Bholanath Tiwari, a resident of Birohi village in Vindhyachal, was raided by the then in-charge Inspector Amarendra Kant Singh, Sub-Inspector Surendranath Rai, Reserve Ram Singhasan Singh, Reserve Dinanath Singh, Reserve Ramachal Ojha and Dinesh Bahadur Singh. During this, 1.25 kg ganja was recovered. When Bholanath was not found, the police misbehaved with the family. On this the woman committed suicide by setting herself on fire.
