पश्चिमी यूपी के कुख्यात गैंगस्टर अनिल दुजाना उर्फ अनिल नागर को यूपी एसटीएफ ने गुरुवार को मुठभेड़ में मार गिराया। यूपी एसटीएफ की टीम ने इस कार्रवाई को मेरठ में अंजाम दिया। बीते छह वर्षों के दौरान प्रदेश पुलिस 184 बदमाशों को पुलिस एनकाउंटर में ढेर कर चुकी है। इसमें पांच लाख रुपये के चार इनामी दस्यु उदयभान, विकास दुबे, असद और गुलाम के बाद अब गैंगस्टर अनिल दुजाना का भी नाम शामिल हो गया है। प्रदेश में भाजपा सरकार बनने के बाद पश्चिम से लेकर पूर्वी उत्तर प्रदेश तक माफिया और अपराधियों का सफाया जारी है।

अक्टूबर 2021 में एसटीएफ ने छह लाख के इनामी डकैत उदयभान यादव को एनकाउंटर में मार गिराया था। बिकरू कांड के मुख्य आरोपी विकास दुबे को एसटीएफ ने ढेर किया था। उसकी गिरफ्तारी पर पांच लाख रुपये का इनाम था। वहीं दो दिन पहले बिजनौर पुलिस ने ढाई लाख के इनामी आदित्य राणा को ढेर किया है।पिछले साल वाराणसी पुलिस ने दो लाख के इनामी मनीष सिंह को भी एनकाउंटर में ढेर कर दिया था। हालांकि अपराधियों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई के दौरान 13 पुलिसकर्मी भी शहीद हो गए और 1424 घायल हुए। बीते छह वर्षों में पुलिस ने ढाई लाख के पांच, दो लाख के दो, डेढ़ लाख के छह और एक लाख के 27 अपराधियों को मार गिराया है।
