IPL का 17वां सीजन, आम चुनाव के बावजूद 22 मार्च से
सिर्फ 2009 में ही आईपीएल पूरी तरह से विदेश में (दक्षिण अफ्रीका) खेला गया था, जबकि 2014 में आम चुनाव के कारण कुछ मुकाबले यूएई में खेले गए थे। हालांकि, 2019 में आम चुनाव के बावजूद भारत में टूर्नामेंट आयोजित किया गया था।आईपीएल 2024 की शुरुआत 22 मार्च से होगी।Only in 2009 was the IPL played entirely abroad (South Africa), while in 2014, due to the general elections, some matches were played in the UAE. आईपीएल चेयरमैन अरुण धूमल ने मंगलवार को न्यूज एजेंसी पीटीआई से इसकी पुष्टि की है। आम चुनाव के बावजूद पूरा टूर्नामेंट भारत में ही खेला जाएगा। चुनाव अप्रैल और मई में होने की उम्मीद है और यही मुख्य कारण है कि आईपीएल के 17वें संस्करण के शेड्यूल को अभी तक जारी नहीं किया गया है। IPL Chairman Arun Dhumal confirmed this to news agency PTI on Tuesday. Despite the general elections, the entire tournament will be played in India only. The elections are expected to take place in April and May and this is the main reason why the schedule for the 17th edition of the IPL has not been released yet.
धूमल ने कहा कि शुरुआत में सिर्फ पहले 15 दिनों का शेड्यूल जारी किया जाएगा। बाकी मैचों की सूची आम चुनाव की तारीखों की घोषणा के बाद तय की जाएगी।Dhumal said that initially only the schedule of the first 15 days will be released. The list of remaining matches will be decided after the announcement of general election dates.
