पान मसाला निर्माताओं पर कसा शिकंजा, मशीनों का कराना होगा पंजीकरण

पचास हजार करोड़ रुपये की इंडस्ट्री होने के बावजूद पान मसाला सेक्टर टैक्स चोरी को लेकर सरकार की निगाहों में लगातार खटक रहा है। यही वजह है कि केंद्रीय बजट में केवल पान मसाले को लेकर सख्त नियम जारी किए गए हैं। इसके तहत अब प्रत्येक पान मसाला निर्माता को अपनी सभी मशीनों का रजिस्ट्रेशन कराना होगा।

रजिस्ट्रेशन न कराने पर प्रति मशीन एक लाख रुपये जुर्माने के साथ उस जब्त भी कर लिया जाएगा। पान मसाला इंडस्ट्री से अकेले यूपी को करीब 4000 करोड़ रुपये का राजस्व मिलता है। 30 हजार करोड़ का कारोबार होता है। इतना होने के बावजूद इंडस्ट्री हमेशा टैक्स चोरी की जांच के दायरे में रहती है।

This is the reason why strict rules have been issued only regarding pan masala in the Union Budget. Under this, now every pan masala manufacturer will have to register all its machines.

In case of non-registration, a fine of Rs 1 lakh per machine will be imposed and it will also be confiscated. UP alone gets a revenue of about Rs 4000 crore from the Pan Masala industry. There is a turnover of Rs 30 thousand crores. Despite this, the industry always remains under investigation for tax evasion.
