केंद्र सरकार ने आतंकवादी समूह सिमी पर पांच साल के लिए बढ़ाया प्रतिबंध

केंद्र सरकार ने देश में आतंकवाद को बढ़ावा देने और शांति व सांप्रदायिक सद्भाव को बिगाड़ने में शामिल आतंकवादी समूह स्टूडेंट्स इस्लामिक मूवमेंट ऑफ इंडिया (सिमी) पर प्रतिबंध पांच साल के लिए और बढ़ा दिया है। पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी सरकार में 2001 में सिमी पर पहली बार प्रतिबंध लगाया था। तब से हर 5 साल में पाबंदी बढ़ाई जाती रही है।

The Central Government has extended the ban on Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), a terrorist group involved in promoting terrorism in the country and disturbing peace and communal harmony, for five years. SIMI was banned for the first time in 2001 during the government of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Since then the ban has been increased every 5 years.
